Production Assistant/Machine Assistant

Weyauwega, Wisconsin

Type: Temp to Hire

Manufacturing/Production

Salary: $21 Per Hour

Schedules are 5am-5pm, 5pm-5am rotate every 2 weeks; 2-2-3 schedule

Orientations are every 2 weeks

Job Description

Production Assistant/Machine Assistant

Responsibilities:

As a Machine Assistant-Production Associate, you will be responsible for helping to fill customer orders, assisting Machine Operators in operating equipment to create finished goods, packaging products, and upholding our safety standards.

  • Assist Machine Operators to keep lines running to specification.
  • Build spools for finished product to be produced on.
  • Maintain spool supermarket.
  • Deliver parts to machines.
  • Accurately label rolls.
  • Perform quality testing and ensure product is within customer specifications.
  • Use assisted lifting device when necessary to load rolls onto a skid.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, operating, and maintenance instructions.
  • Assist with 5s activities.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A creative approach and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read a ruler/tape measure.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; climb steps up 3 levels high, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • A strong desire, dedication, and determination to succeed, by continually improving skills through on-the-job training and various offered educational opportunities.
