Responsibilities:
โ€ข Review, audit, and govern the QA processes performed by our external development vendor across all three product lines.
โ€ข Establish QA standards, entry/exit criteria, and acceptance gates that the vendor must meet before code is handed off for independent verification.
โ€ข Track vendor QA metrics (test coverage, defect escape rates, automation health) and surface issues to engineering leadership.
โ€ข Partner with the vendor's QA leads on test plan reviews, defect triage, and process improvements.
โ€ข Recruit, hire, and lead a small in-house QA team responsible for independent verification of all GCH product releases.
โ€ข Define team structure, role definitions, and career paths for QA engineers and QA automation engineers.
โ€ข Establish onboarding, training, and documentation practices for the team.
โ€ข Own the end-to-end QA strategy across SCR, UBID, and RBM, including functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
โ€ข Build and maintain a test automation framework covering API, UI, and end-to-end scenarios.

โ€ข Coordinate testing across third-party integrations, including identity and verification partners such as Aegis, billing infrastructure (Chargebee, Stripe), and other identity providers.
โ€ข Select, deploy, and maintain QA tooling for test management, defect tracking, automation, and reporting.
โ€ข Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
โ€ข Build dashboards and reporting that give engineering and executive leadership clear visibility into product quality.
โ€ข Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Operations to align quality priorities with business needs.
โ€ข Support SLA reporting commitments to CTIA and other contractual partners.
โ€ข Contribute to incident response and post-incident reviews where quality issues are root causes.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 5+ years of progressive QA experience, including 2+ years in a QA leadership role.
โ€ข Demonstrated experience overseeing QA work performed by an external or offshore development vendor.
โ€ข Proven track record building and managing in-house QA teams from the ground up.
โ€ข Strong hands-on background in test automation across API and web application layers (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman/Newman, REST Assured).
โ€ข Experience testing cloud-native applications on AWS, including services such as API Gateway, RDS, Cognito, and Lambda.
โ€ข Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into deployment workflows.
โ€ข Experience with SaaS and B2B platforms operating under contractual SLAs.
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical quality data into clear narratives for executives, customers, and regulators.
Preferred:
โ€ข Fluency in Spanish is a strong plus, as many standup meetings and working sessions with our development partner are conducted in Spanish.
โ€ข Experience in the telecom, messaging, or wireless industry (short codes, A2P/P2P messaging, RCS/RBM, carrier integrations).
โ€ข Familiarity with KYC/KYB workflows and identity verification platforms.
โ€ข Experience testing billing systems and payment integrations (Stripe, Chargebee, or comparable).
