Purchasing / Customer Service Coordinator

LaPorte, IN | Full-Time | Onsite

Our client, a well-established, family-owned manufacturing company in LaPorte, is seeking a Purchasing / Customer Service Coordinator to support both customer order processing and purchasing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and thrives in a role that combines customer service, purchasing, and administrative support.

What You'll Do
  • Process customer orders received through email and the company website.
  • Communicate pricing, order approvals, and updates with the sales team.
  • Enter customer orders accurately into the company's system and maintain shared files.
  • Purchase raw materials, packaging, and colorants for multiple manufacturing plants.
  • Consolidate plant purchasing needs and place vendor orders.
  • Track certifications, assign lot numbers, and coordinate deliveries between vendors and manufacturing locations.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and order records.
  • Utilize Excel to organize and track purchasing and order information.
