Job description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing and purchasing strategies for raw materials, chemicals, packaging, and MRO items while supporting qualification of suppliers for films, adhesives, coatings, and related materials
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements, monitor market and commodity trends, and lead costโ€‘reduction initiatives
  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance, conduct audits, maintain strong vendor relationships, and resolve supply disruptions
  • Partner with production planning, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability and maintain balanced inventory levels
  • Ensure all materials meet specifications and regulatory requirements, maintain compliance documentation, and support quality investigations, including ISO 9001:2015 activities.
  • Review and manage qualityโ€‘related documentation, coordinate with crossโ€‘functional teams across multiple sites, and strengthen organizational quality culture


Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of manufacturing procurement experience
  • Strong background in sourcing raw materialsโ€”especially tapes, adhesives, coatings, chemicals, and converting materialsโ€”with solid ERP/MRP system proficiency
  • Proven ability to negotiate pricing and contracts, analyze raw material markets, and solve complex supply challenges with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities, with experience managing procurement teams and supporting global sourcing and import/export activities (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement practices, and deep understanding of raw material specifications, market dynamics, and quality requirements
