About the Job
The Raw Materials Purchasing Manager is responsible for optimizing customer service and production efficiency through strategic procurement and effective management of raw materials for assigned facilities. This role focuses on driving productivity, improving operational efficiency, and achieving the lowest total delivered cost while ensuring consistent material availability to meet production demands.
What You'll Do
  • Manage and maintain purchase orders for raw materials within assigned areas of responsibility
  • Procure raw materials to support production schedules and inventory requirements
  • Collaborate with suppliers to expedite or defer shipments in response to changing production needs and customer demands
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and reliable on-time delivery
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or cost
  • Prepare and submit payment requests for CFO approval and coordinate timely supplier payments
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of all incoming raw materials
  • Maintain accurate records of raw material certifications and coordinate closely with Quality Control
  • Ensure all incoming materials are verified against packing lists and properly stored in designated locations
  • Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all company policies
  • Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and support a culture of safety
  • Coordinate with warehouse and quality teams to ensure alignment with procurement and inventory objectives
  • Analyze inventory levels and demand trends to support continuous improvement in procurement processes

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred, but not required
  • Equivalent combination of relevant experience and education will be considered
