Location Description
The Meadville, Pennsylvania facility is 135,000 square feet and home to about 290 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Rachael Ray® Nutrish®. Located along the banks of French Creek in Northwestern Pennsylvania and 45 minutes from Pittsburgh, Meadville is home to more than 13,000 full time residents and 2,000 Allegheny College students. Meadville is an active center for business, industry, education, the arts, recreation, service and tourism. Conneaut Lake, Pymatuning State Park and the Erie National Wildlife Refuge are wonderful places to appreciate the area's natural beauty.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Site Supply Chain Manager, the Site Supply Chain Supervisor is a key people leader responsible for the day-to-day leadership of site warehouse operations in support of plant manufacturing objectives. This role combines hands-on operational ownership with strategic leadership to consistently deliver results across safety, food safety, quality, service, productivity, cost, and inventory accuracy.
The Supervisor leads and develops frontline warehouse teams across multiple shifts, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Through strong standard work, employee involvement, and disciplined execution of best practices, this role drives operational excellence and supports sustainable business results.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Lead day-to-day site warehouse operations across multiple shifts, ensuring reliable supply chain execution and seamless support of manufacturing operations
  • Supervise and coordinate frontline warehouse teams to meet production demand, service, quality, and cost objectives
  • Manage and optimize finished goods, WIP, raw materials, and packaging inventories to support production schedules and minimize waste
  • Serve as backup to the Site Supply Chain Manager, providing continuity of leadership during absences
  • Ensure warehouse facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained in safe, sanitary, and compliant working condition
  • Conduct and support Safety, GMP, and pre-operational audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed and sustained
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, damage reduction, efficiency, reliability, and engagement
  • Develop, implement, and sustain standard work and operating procedures across warehouse operations
  • Oversee training execution and track skill development to ensure team readiness and compliance
  • Maintain strong communication between shifts and departments through effective handoffs, escalation, and issue resolution
  • Mentor and support supervisors, team leads, and operators to strengthen bench depth and performance

Qualifications
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • 5+ years of combined experience in supply chain, warehouse operations, or food manufacturing/packaging
  • Experience in food safety, GMP, SQF, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Strong background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, standard work, root cause analysis, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Experience partnering closely with manufacturing operations to support production needs
  • Ability to take on broader assignments and demonstrate flexibility for growth and development opportunities
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies including:

  • Driving results and managing change
  • Conflict management and composure under pressure
  • Timely and effective decision-making

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Prior supervisory or people-leadership experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse and/or manufacturing operations, systems, and processes
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop frontline teams
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, planning, problem solving, and decision-making
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships across shifts and departments
  • Results-driven leadership style with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
