Santa Ynez Valley Transit operates:
Monday - Saturday | Approximately 6:30 AM - 7:45 PM
Sunday- 7:45AM-4PM Shifts may vary based on service needs.

What You'll Do
  • Provide excellent customer service as the front-line representative of the transit system.
  • Safely operate transit buses through city, rural, and highway environments.
  • Transport passengers courteously along assigned routes and schedules.
  • Assist passengers, including individuals with disabilities and mobility devices.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local traffic and safety regulations.
  • Operate fareboxes, wheelchair lifts, communication radios, and emergency equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs.
  • Communicate detours, delays, and incidents to dispatch.
  • Collect fares, count passengers, and complete required documentation.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or unusual events promptly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must pass a DOT physical exam
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Commitment to safety and reliability
