Job description

Position Overview

Sigmatech is seeking a Logistics Support Specialist to provide comprehensive logistics management support across the full range of property accountability functions in accordance with Army Regulations, policies, and procedures. This role ensures integrated supply chain management, maintenance and repair planning, and compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) logistics requirements to support mission readiness, rapid deployment operations, and ongoing sustainment activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform logistics management support in property accountability IAW Army Regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Operate and maintain proficiency with the following systems:

    • Logistics Modernization Program (LMP)

    • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions

    • Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW)

    • Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A)

    • Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS)

  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate logistical actions required for rapid deployment and specified missions.

  • Monitor compliance with logistical regulations including hand receipts, inventories, issues, and other transactions using approved DoD, DA, AMC, AMCOM, and ALC systems.

  • Support Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) inspections and assist in correcting identified findings.

  • Provide supply support to ensure bench stock, packaging/dunnage, and materials are maintained and available at time of need.

  • Prepare, process, and submit shipping documents IAW Army and DLA policies, SOPs, and procedures.

  • Operate within DLA purchase contracts and systems; manage commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) purchases and restrictions.

  • Support shipping and receiving operations for CONUS/OCONUS utilizing military and commercial carriers.

  • Proficient in Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS), and familiar with FedEx, UPS, USPS shipping processes.

  • HAZMAT trained with working knowledge of Enterprise Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Management Information System (EESOH-MIS).

  • Support warehouse operations, including safe use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, packaging scales, and pallet wrappers.

  • Collaborate with personnel to coordinate Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) IAW DLAI 4145.4/AR 740-3/AFMAN 23-125(IP)/NAVSUPINST 4400.100A/MCO 4450.15A.

  • Ensure equipment and materiel is properly packaged, preserved, stored, and maintained for readiness and rapid deployment.


Required Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) and COSIS requirements.

  • Prior experience supporting AMC, AMCOM, or ALC logistics operations.

  • Understanding of Enterprise Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Management System (EESOH-MIS).
