Role Summary

We’re seeking a hands-on RAN Feature Tester to support new product introduction work. This role will own features end to end from understanding and configuration through testing, troubleshooting, and reporting, with some exposure to production environments. Ideal candidates are comfortable working independently with minimal documentation and can operate in both lab and live network settings.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of RAN experience (LTE and 5G)
  • Strong understanding of call flow (UE to RAN to Core)
  • Hands-on feature testing and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience analyzing L1/L2/L3 logs and traces
  • Knowledge of NSA and SA architectures, carrier aggregation, VoNR, EPS fallback
  • Familiarity with 3GPP standards and features
  • Experience with tools such as QXDM/QCAT, XCAL, Wireshark, and log analysis tools
  • Ability to work independently and drive tasks without heavy oversight
  • Strong communication skills; able to present findings to internal teams and customers

Preferred

  • Direct experience with Ericsson RAN/radio/baseband (BBU) products or comparable OEM RAN gear
  • Background supporting NPI / new feature or new product introduction testing
  • Experience supporting customer POCs for pre-commercial or next-gen RAN features
  • Exposure to test automation (scripting/tools to streamline repetitive lab work)

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned features end to end including understanding, configuration, testing, and validation
  • Perform lab-based testing and support production node activities when needed
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root cause, and validate fixes
  • Collect and analyze logs/traces and prepare test reports
  • Reproduce network issues in lab environments and support escalation to design teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design (PDU), PMs, and customer stakeholders
