Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time EMT Response Patrol Driver in Fairless Hills, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.


Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour

  1. Valid Driver's License:

    • All candidates must possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.
    • Candidates are required to provide a copy of their current driver’s license during the application process.
  2. EMT Certification:

    • Candidates must hold a valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification (C127). This certification is crucial for positions that involve emergency response and medical assistance.
    • Proof of certification must be submitted during the application process.
  3. Previous Firefighting Experience:

    • Applicants must have documented previous firefighting experience (C129). This experience is vital for roles that involve firefighting duties and responsibilities.
    • Candidates should provide references or documentation that verifies their firefighting experience.

How This Role Works:

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, rail or shipping zones, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and delivery personnel, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare clear, accurate reports.
  • Observe industrial operations for security-related concerns, report hazards or maintenance issues to designated site contacts, and support compliance with location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess EMT certification.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have previous firefighting experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
