Position Summary:
  • The Operations Manager will report directly to the Terminal Manager providing complete Management oversight. Handling the responsibilities such as interviewing and hiring applicants, training new hires, daily planning, safety meetings, directing work flow, complete all loading plans.
  • You will provide leadership and management oversight for the Vehicle Handling department.
  • You will ensure site compliance with Safety, SOP and customer requirements.

Areas of Responsibility:
  • Comply with all industry, customer and company safety regulations and operating procedures
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance within the scope of duties, included but not limited to hire, fire, promotions or other changes in employee status
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable Company, Customer, OSHA, EPA, FRA and DOT regulations by performing key audits and/or relevant inspections. These are included but not limited to AAR, ISA, ISO, etc..
  • Ensuring all associates understand and comply with applicable customer and company work instructions, quality procedures and site SOP's
  • Continually seek and document methods for improvement in the quality of the services being provided and the efficiency in which those services are conducted

  • High School Diploma/GED or Ability
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Supervisory experience is a must
  • Microsoft Office knowledge is a must
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • A team work, can do attitude and willing to learn
  • Safety first mentality
