As a Radiographer Assistant at MercyOne, you will, under limited supervision, of a licensed radiographer the radiographer assistant performs a wide variety of routine duties including clerical, technical and patient related functions. The radiographer assistant is responsible for assisting members of the imaging team and providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams and procedures, and patient transporting. The radiographer assistant is trained to use a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, and software.

Schedule:

  • Per Diem (PRN)
  • Rotating shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd)

General Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled as a 2nd year student in an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current participation in radiology classes and clinical rotations.
  • Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) will be required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.
