We are seeking an experienced SailPoint Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer
Job Title: SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer / IAM Specialist (DoD Cleared)
Location: Washington, DC / Northern Virginia / Maryland (DMV Area – Hybrid or Onsite)
Clearance Requirement: Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance (Required)

Position Overview
The Sr. SailPoint Engineer provides expert technical expertise for the Department of State Enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management (SE-ICAM) system based on Okta, SailPoint, and Radiant Logic.  The individual designs, develops, configures, tests, and the SE-ICAM system platform and integrations with other systems.  The expert support includes finding flexible, innovative technical solutions to ICAM challenges and opportunities.   
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical knowledge to other SE-ICAM resources to effectively design and implement the SE-ICAM platform (Okta, SailPoint, and Radiant Logic) and integrations with systems such as Active Directory, Splunk, and CyberArk 
  • Design and configure workflows and communications to support use cases such as onboarding provisioning and off-boarding deprovisioning and access recertifications through out-of-the-box capabilities and custom development 
  • Provide expert technical knowledge to other ICAM stakeholders and offices for related efforts that are outside the scope of the SE-ICAM system implementation to help define a vision and high-level plan 
  • Lead the technical design, development, configuration, and testing of Proof of Concepts (POCs) and pilots related to the SE-ICAM system 
  • Develop technical artifacts like architecture diagrams 
  • Provide inputs to and verify functional artifacts like Functional Requirements Design (FRD) documents 
  • Provide status updates on technical development activities  
  • Provide detailed technical information, such as how the SE-ICAM system is configured, to the Department of Homeland Security Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (DHS CDM) team that is consolidating OpenNet digital identities to develop the Master User Record (MUR) to have the solution that design meet the Department’s broader ICAM requirements and use cases 
  • Work with the ICAM Architect and Technical Lead to identify issues and risks to the technical implementation of the SE-ICAM system and recommend strategies to address them 
  • Support the transition of IT infrastructure Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities like patching to the O&M resources 
  • Provide technical input to the O&M team to meet SE-ICAM system Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) requirements 
  • Help respond to system incidents per the SE-ICAM program’s incident response procedures that require technical development resources’ support 
Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing large-scale ICAM solutions  
  • Understanding and experience designing solutions to meet ICAM Federal policies 
  • Proven technical solutions needed to deploy and adapt an ICAM system 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage duties across multiple work streams  
  • Strong experience working and facilitating across multiple teams  
Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Department of State technical environments and requirements 
  • CISSP certification 
Clearance Requirement
  • DoD Secret clearance (with the ability to acquire a Top-Secret clearance) 

Education
Bachelors in computer science, engineering, or IT-related fields or equivalent years of professional experience
