The Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) at PCP Urgent Care Holdings LLC is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role involves operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality radiographic images to support the medical team in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, as prescribed by physicians.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Operate radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance.
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection standards to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality, ensuring clarity and accuracy for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide necessary information for patient diagnosis.
