What We're Looking For:- Current Louisiana State license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer required
- Strong knowledge of radiographic imaging procedures, exposure techniques, and equipment operations
- Experience performing diagnostic radiologic procedures across patient populations
- Ability to safely administer and prepare contrast media, including oral, IV, lower GI, and retrograde administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
- Commitment to radiation safety, quality patient care, and teamwork
- Ability to assess and respond appropriately to the needs of patients across all age groups

Perform radiographic examinations across all modalities covered under the staff radiographer's license while delivering safe, quality patient care. Monitor and evaluate patient care quality and efficiency as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring services are appropriate for the age population served.
- Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in accordance with departmental standards, protocols, and physician orders.
- Position, transfer, and instruct patients to ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Operate radiographic equipment and adjust exposure factors to obtain optimal imaging results.
- Consistently produce high-quality diagnostic images that support accurate clinical decision-making.
- Transport patients and prepare imaging rooms in accordance with Baton Rouge General safety standards.
- Utilize immobilization devices and positioning techniques to obtain quality images while ensuring patient safety.
- Assess patient conditions and provide age-appropriate care based on individual healthcare needs.
- Adhere to all radiation safety practices, including proper shielding and use of radiation monitoring devices.
- Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Recognize adverse patient reactions and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure appropriate intervention.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety, encourage cooperation, and enhance the patient experience.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other team members to support quality patient care and operational excellence.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, safety standards, infection prevention practices, and departmental policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
