Responsibilities

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $62,300 - $122,400 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.

The RPS Relationship Manager is responsible for administering and servicing a book of retirement plan business consisting primarily of qualified plans that fall under ERISA guidelines. Additionally, this role will assist with the generation of new or additional sources of revenue.

Key Accountabilities

Manage a Portfolio of Client Relationships

    Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of 70-90 retirement plan clients, primarily servicing clients through phone, video conferencing, and email.
  • Maintain regular client contact, and ensure client records, service activities, and relationship management documentation are maintained accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate with internal service, compliance, operations, and investment teams to ensure timely execution of client requests and deliver on service commitments.
  • Conduct annual plan reviews with clients to discuss plan performance, investment results, plan utilization trends, and opportunities for plan improvement.

Client Education and Support

  • Lead virtual annual enrollment meetings and participate in education sessions using approved presentation materials and educational resources.
  • Support enrollment, participant engagement, and financial wellness initiatives through scalable communication strategies.
  • Assist plan sponsors in understanding investment reviews, fiduciary best practices, and plan governance requirements.
  • Function as a knowledgeable resource for clients, connecting them with subject matter experts when appropriate.

Drive Client Retention and Growth

  • Develop trusted relationships that strengthen client satisfaction and retention.
  • Partner with Sales, Retirement Plan Specialist support, and business development teams during client transitions, renewals, and expansion opportunities.
  • Promote the firm's value proposition and service capabilities through consistent engagement.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of retirement plan relationship management, client service, account management, or retirement plan administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of ERISA and defined contribution retirement plans.
  • Series 65 license required or must be obtained within 90 days.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and CRM proficiency.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple relationships in a predominantly virtual environment.
  • Industry certification such as, either the QKA, AIF, CPFA, or CRPS highly desired
