Description
The Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer is a senior technical role acting as an architect for testing product, tools, flow, methodology definition and hardware development, highly focusing on testing capability for product engineering to enable seamless product execution. This individual is responsible for designing and implementing test procedures for cellular, broadband, network devices that meet or exceed customer and manufacturer expectations for timely, effective, and efficient processes. This position requires.
The ideal candidate has strong RF knowledge, and experience with RF test equipment and programming languages. They possess excellent communication and critical thinking skills, meticulous diligence, and adaptability to dynamic environments. Industry familiarity and teamwork are also valuable assets for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
  • Manage and coordinate all testing activities including development, architecture, and deployment.
  • Create testing procedures based on supplied device parameters.
  • Serve as the expert relating to radiated parametric testing and customer/manufacturer communication as it relates to RF testing activity.
  • Coordinate development and integration test documentation, develop test scripts and use cases, and set up continuous integration testing.
  • Responsible for new product inspection and testing procedure set up.
  • Oversee the calibration schedule of appropriate equipment.
  • Create training process and train staff on correct testing procedures as well as maintain documents relating to training.
  • Drive testing methodology improvements as it relates to industry standards.
  • Assist and participate in activities relating to corrective and preventive actions as well as continuous improvement activities.
  • Verify all reporting is completed and processes are followed for tracking test lots.
  • Promote safety policies including housekeeping.
  • All other related duties as assigned by leadership.

Job Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
  • Electrical Engineering degree

Preferred Education/Certifications:
  • Certified Six Sigma

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exposure to 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, RF testing
  • Firsthand exposure to multiple manufacturers' mobile devices in a test environment.
  • Ability to facilitate testing on RF equipment.
  • MS Office Suite Proficiency
  • Minitab proficiency / Statistical Analysis
  • Database Familiarity
  • Reporting / Analytical Abilities
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience:
  • 10 years relevant work experience at a similar level
  • Experience with design validation and verification testing procedures, generating test documentation, and supporting production testing.
  • Intimate knowledge of current cellular carrier bands and experience with statistical process control
  • Experience with statistical process controls.
  • Broadband and Network experience

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) Software
  • Team Building Experience
  • Coaching and mentoring experience
