Job description

PLEASE NOTE:ย This position carries a Seasonal status, which means that employment will not exceed 120 days from hire. This position holds a contract between May 15th 2026, and September 15th, 2026. Employment will be separated after 120 days or prior to September 15th, 2026, whichever happens first. Seasonal positions do not offer any type of medical, dental or pending Insurace qualifications.

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of Electronic Gaming Devices (EGD) during a given shift, while providing customers pleasant entertainment within established controls.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the Casino operations at all times and in all activities. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers of the Quinault Beach Resort & Casino operations. Develop solutions for customer concerns and continual focus on customer service as our top priority.
  • Offer assistance to customers and guests in an accurate, courteous, and friendly manner.
  • Maintain and/or obtain an awareness of applicable company and departmental policies, procedures and rules.
  • Maintain and/or obtain an awareness of applicable gaming policies, procedures and rules and work within them accordingly.
  • Work in cooperation with all EGD employees to ensure high quality of customer service.
  • Access EGD equipment to troubleshoot game malfunctions and return machines to play.
  • Perform machine installations, game conversions, and machine relocations.
  • Complete set up parameters for new machines and/or game conversions.
  • Assist with the installation and removal of EGD bases, chairs and signage.
  • Ensure player tracking and accounting systems are working properly, and report to the EGD Supervisor and MIS if/when they are not.
  • Report any unusual situations to supervisor.
  • Promote the proper treatment and effective use of the assigned equipment and supplies.
  • Deliver high level of customer service to guests, VIPs, and co-workers.
  • Attend mandatory trainings.
  • Repair, maintain, test, and troubleshoot gaming device and related slot equipment on the casino floor or other designated areas.
  • Prepare, run, and terminate Serial CAT 5, and CAT 6 cable as designated for projects.
  • Preventative maintenance on all slot machines and devices.
  • Clean printers, bill validators, vacuum machines, and keep the outside of the machines clean.
  • Manually run reports.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area by keeping supplies stocked and in the proper place.
  • Secure tools in assigned lockers.
  • Complete required inventory and/or technical documentation accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with all TGA and State Regulations.
  • Adhere to all QBRC Personnel Policies and Procedures, Title 97 and TERO Policies, and HR Standard Operating Procedures.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (*Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally)

While performing these job duties, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 30lb.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk, tolerate sitting and/or kneeling, stoop and/or crawl for extended periods of time at assigned work areas.
  • Manual finger dexterity for operation of hand tools, computer peripherals, and routine paperwork.
  • Ability to work/crawl in confined places.
  • Must be able to effectively work on EGDs and relocate/transport EGDs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • May be subject to occasional smoking and hostile customer environment.

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions both verbal and written
  • Must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers, guests, and/or vendors
  • Demonstrated record of successful customer service skills
  • Ability to read diagrams and schematics
  • Demonstrated mechanical abilities and an understanding of basic electronic repairs
  • Must have strong troubleshooting skills
  • Must have excellent math skills
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience using small hand tools
  • Minimum of one (1) year computer experience using Word, Excel, and Access programs
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with hardware and software problem solving.
  • Must be available to work any shift to include days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, as job duties require.
  • Knowledge of gaming laws and regulations
  • Must be able to work in a team environment

.Preferred:

  • College credits or technical schooling in computer, technical, and/or electronic related courses
  • General working knowledge of EGD machines
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with data cabling (CAT5, CAT6, Serial), and fiber optional
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience using electronic testing devices.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Class III Washington State and Quinault Indian Nation Tribal Gaming License
