The candidate will be joining the Quantum System Architecture & Software team in the Intel Quantum Computing program.
Chief duties of this position include:
  • Leads the creation, implementation, and optimization of software codes specifically for Intel quantum hardware constraints.
  • Lead the research and development of quantum error correction protocols for fully fault tolerant quantum computing systems.
  • Explore the performance of technology alternatives, collaborating with algorithm and application researchers, software engineers and hardware engineers to explore hardware/software trade-offs in the implementation of quantum error correcting codes.
  • Collaborate closely with both quantum computing hardware and software teams

Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field (plus 1+ years experience).
• Experience in designing quantum error correction protocols (1+ years).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver significant results in a multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Quantum computing industrial experience (1+ years).
• Experience researching and developing QEC codes for specific hardware constraints.
