Mission:

Quantum Research is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team and develop solutions in support of AFRL, NASIC, DARPA and other Department of War and Intelligence Community projects. We are focused on finding innovative, self-starters who can adapt to a fast-paced, high-profile development effort. The position is on site (no remote/hybrid) and is located in Beavercreek, OH.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and integrate software solutions into existing M & S frameworks, such as AFSIM, ITASE, and NGTS, using modern Agile software development practices.
  • Work with a diverse team of software engineers, data scientists, and analysts to explore and develop solutions.

Requirements:

  • At least a Top Secret clearance. Ability to obtain SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years software development experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years software development in a systems language (C++ preferred).
  • Experience following agile development processes.
  • Experience using source control, issue management, and CI/CD tools such as git, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jenkins, Gitlab runners or similar.
  • Experience developing software for Windows platforms.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with DoD modeling and simulation frameworks, such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE.
  • Experience working in integrated development environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and CLion.
  • Familiarity with modeling and simulation best practices.
  • Experience developing software for Linux platforms.
  • Familiarity with DoD security practices.
Certifications:

Applicable Certifications include but are not limited to any of the following:

  • Software Engineer and Modeling & Simulation Industry related training/certification(s) a plus!
