Responsibilities

Keysight’s Semiconductor Infrastructure Solutions (SIS) is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical CAD Drafter to join our centralized support organization. In this role, you will collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing teams to deliver essential mechanical drafting services for products spanning mechanical, optical, laser, and electronics domains. Responsibilities include generating precise 2D drawings to support part manufacturing and coordinating data from multiple sources to produce standardized documentation for New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing environments. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of cross-functional project teams.

  • Extensive experience in creating precision-machined mechanical part drawings, and interpreting product requirements and engineering specifications.
  • Solid understanding and application of GD&T concepts, including ASME Y14.5-2018 and ISO 1101 standards for dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Experience working within Product Data Management systems (preferably NX Teamcenter) and Product Lifecycle Management systems (preferably Enovia 3DEXPERIENCE).
  • Familiarity working with 3D solid modeling mechanical CAD applications, with a strong preference for Siemens NX.
  • General knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, including metal and plastic machining, electronics, optics, sheet metal, and casting.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively take direction from internal customers (engineers) to create and update mechanical 2D drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Proven capability to estimate project schedule requirements and manage personal tasks to meet quality and delivery objectives.
  • Candidates whose drafting experience is primarily in architecture will not be considered for this role. This position is NOT an Engineering Design role. We are looking for a Mechanical Drafter with a background in technology-driven industries.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience with 3D solid modeling mechanical CAD applications; strong preference for proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Adobe Illustrator is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and a willingness to adapt and expand skills in response to evolving technologies and business requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, including the ability to accurately manipulate and analyze small data sets, identify discrepancies, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally across multiple functions to achieve shared objectives.
  • Reliable and flexible, with the ability to accept direction from others and adapt to changing priorities.
