Job Title: Quality Engineer

With four state-of-the-art facilities spanning 225,000 square feet with locations in Illinois and North Carolina, we serve high-spec markets including power generation, healthcare, electrical power distribution, aerospace and defense, life sciences, and more.
Position Summary:
Responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of our operational processes and outputs (i.e. parts amp; components).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing and adhering to the Company’s quality standards.
  • Performing and adhering to the Company’s quality control systems.
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality performance.
  • Inspecting and testing parts, materials, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Collaborating with other Quality department personnel and production personnel to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
  • Creating Non-Conformance Reports and developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
  • Reviewing amp; determining quality reason codes and processes.
  • Programming Quality Department computer aided devices.
  • Evaluate and submit to supervisor improved QA processes amp; Dept Ops.
  • Ensure continuous improvement as an ISO company.
  • Maximize output and efficiency of personal efforts for benefit of department and company.
Required Qualifications:
Education amp; Experience:
  • Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
  • Experience coding and using QA software tools and processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • This position shall report organizationally to the Director of Quality.
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
  • Use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection required.
  • May involve repetitive tasks and physical activity throughout the shift.
Physical Requirements:
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 50lbs., and perform repetitive motions.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and manual handling of sheet metal materials.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
