Job description

Investment Performance Analyst
Position Description
This position is primarily responsible for monitoringand ensuring the accuracy of client performance reporting and the maintenanceand calculation of GIPSยฎ Composites, including coordinating and supporting theGIPSยฎ Verification efforts.
In addition, this role will be responsible forfulfilling periodic and ad-hoc reporting needs, which may include performanceand risk statistics, portfolio analytics requests, fundamental characteristics,and attribution.
This role would also be required to help with fulfilling RFP/Questionnairesrequests for performance data.
The Investment Performance Analyst coordinatesand chairs the Quarterly Performance Composite Committee Meeting and DiscretionReview Group (DRG).
Lastly, this rolewould be expected to cross-train and help across other functional areas andassist on other related projects as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, statistics or equivalent
Progress towards CIPM, CPA or CFA is a plus
3-5 years of experience in performance measurement, investment analytics, investment operations/accounting data, or related functions within asset management or insurance investment environments (fixed income preferred).
Demonstrated knowledge of Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPSยฎ) and performance measurement concepts
Demonstrated experience maintaining and validating GIPSยฎ Composites
Lead the annual GIPSยฎ verification Examination effort
Support the production of daily, monthly and quarterly performance reports and analysis
Produce timely delivery of client reporting and create custom reports
Respond to internal ad-hoc requests for data (performance, client, portfolio analytics) from various stakeholders
Respond to RFPs/RFIs for performance and analytics related data
Participate in special initiative projects as needed
Ensure policies and procedures are implemented and documented
Recommend and implement process changes as needed to increase timely and accurate delivery of performance data
Maintain documentation of data sources, assumptions, and calculation methods to support repeatability, audit readiness, and continuity.
Prepare and provide quarterly composite performance return data to Marketing teams for inclusion in external presentations and materials.
Support annual preparation of composite presentation and disclosure packages for compliance review prior to external distribution.
Build and maintain controls (checklists, exception reports, tie-outs, trend analysis) to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, client-facing teams, Investment Systems and Compliance on ad hoc requests, client questions, and reporting needs.
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within performance and index/cash flow reporting cycles.
Familiarity in the following programs or systems would be preferred: CAMRA, CAPS and SQL
Ability to quickly learn new systems and software
Strong understanding of fixed income instruments, returns, and benchmark concepts; comfort working with index providers and benchmark mappings.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation; macros a plus).
Ability to work with large datasets and maintain strong data hygiene, documentation, and quality controls.
Analytical mindset with the ability to independently investigate variances, explain results clearly, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with SQL/report writing or database query tools is preferred.
Strong organization and deadline management; ability to perform under tight timelines during month-end/quarter-end cycles.
Intellectual curiosity and openness to utilize AI-enabled tools to enhance operational efficiency.
