Job description

Overview
The Quality Management Coordinator-RN coordinates the education, implementation, and integration of continuous quality improvement in accordance with state and federal regulations. The Quality Management Coordinator serves as a professional role model and champion in providing direction and guidance with quality improvement activities and the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence.
Responsibilities
  • Champion for overall Quality integration by ensuring Benedictine Quality and Performance Excellence elements are deployed into operations accordance with federal and state regulatory guidelines, maintaining quality integration resources including Benedictine Quality Standards, and seeking participation in quality initiatives and programs of quality recognition at a state and national level.
  • Serve as the facilitator and a member of the Quality Council, to ensure that care delivery and provisions of services are monitored and evaluated through the Quality Council while maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing data. Confirm that Quality Council action plans are followed through and reported back to council.
  • Ensure that consistent, appropriate and timely training is provided for all associates and act as a resource for staff in Quality tools and techniques.
  • Participate in the annual strategic planning process, ensure the on-going monitoring of progress of action plans, and provide direction and assistance with improvement projects.
  • Provide resources to departments and leaders on Quality improvement teams, P-D-C-A problem solving process and quality tools. In addition, facilitate routine reports to the Quality Council on team process and actions.
  • Coordinate and lead root cause analysis teams on adverse events.
  • Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.
  • Performs other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Current licensure as an RN, which must be in good standing;
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in health care
  • BLS Certification

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
  • Sound decision making capabilities
  • Outstanding customer service skills while relating to various internal and external customers in a collaborative environment
  • The ability to communicate effectively in both verbally and written formats
  • Knowledge of federal and state licensing systems is preferred
