Overview
SUMMARY:
The Quality Control / Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for overseeing all QC/QA activities in support of operations and maintenance (O&M) functions across a large, complex facility environment. (Mechanical or Custodial/Landscape) This role ensures compliance with contract requirements, industry standards, and internal quality processes. The QC/QA Lead will establish, implement, and manage a comprehensive QC/QA program that supports mission readiness and operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the development, implementation, and management of the QC/QA program for O&M operations.
• Prepare and maintain a detailed method statement outlining how the QC/QA Department will be structured, staffed, and managed.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and evaluations of building systems, maintenance activities, and operational processes.
• Ensure compliance with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles and apply non destructive testing (NDT) methods as required.
• Identify deficiencies, track corrective actions, and verify resolution.
• Collaborate with site leadership, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain documentation, reports, and quality records in accordance with contract and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on QC/QA procedures and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and reliability.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:
• Active Secret Clearance
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience working in QC/QA roles within major industrial complexes or large scale construction projects.
• Minimum of five (5) years serving specifically as a QC/QA Lead.
• Strong working knowledge of O&M operations and building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.).
• Experience working within a RCM program.
• Familiarity with non destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Ability to develop and implement QC/QA processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prior experience in the supervision of a workforce responsible for operations, maintenance, and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Must be able be able to conduct preventative maintenance activities and minor repairs from ladders or elevated platforms.
• Work requires the incumbent to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in uncomfortable positions.
• Ability to lift, carry and set up tools, equipment and parts that weigh up to and occasionally over fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be comfortable getting dirty, dusty, and greasy in an indoor or outdoor environment with frequent exposure to excessive noise.
• Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.).
• Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer, to include weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to perform on-call duties when scheduled and report to work within one hour of notification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able be able to conduct preventative maintenance activities and minor repairs from ladders or elevated platforms.
• Work requires the incumbent to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in uncomfortable positions.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
