Job description

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Supervisor to join their team. As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting production and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor

Location: Rochester, MN

Pay Range: $30-$56/hour based on experience 

Shift: 8am - 4pm, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

  • Oversee all testing, personnel, and equipment within the Quality Laboratory to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Approve all written responses for customer communications, including audit and complaint responses.
  • Review, approve, and distribute raw material, packaging, and finished product specifications.
  • Responsible for oversight of releasing finished products and ensuring product quality.
  • Lead investigations through root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, excipient, cosmetic, dietary supplement, and/or food manufacturing quality assurance.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accreditied instituition in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or similar science/Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, internet, or cloud based systems.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and problem-solving effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer interactions.
