Quality Control Manager – Industrial Fabrication
Location: Vancouver, WA (80%) – Corvallis, OR (20%)
Department: Quality
Reports To: Operations Manager / Director of Quality
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 DOE
(eligible for comprehensive healthcare benefits, PTO, Holiday pay and 401K with match after 1 year)

Position Summary
Greenberry Industrial is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to support our Vancouver, WA and Corvallis, OR, fabrication facilities. These facilities serve nuclear, industrial, structural steel, and fracture-critical projects across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
This role ensures fabrication activities meet the highest standards of AISC, AWS, ASME, and customer requirements while fostering Greenberry’s culture of safety, quality ownership, and continuous improvement (see greenberry.com).

Key Responsibilities
Structural Steel/Fracture Critical & ASME Piping and Pressure Vessels
  • Oversee quality control activities for AISC-certified fabrication, ASME piping and Pressure Vessels
  • Develop and ensure compliance with PQR’s, WPS’s, welder qualifications, material traceability, and NDE requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external inspection resources.
  • Perform inspections
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Supervise and mentor QC Inspectors and Quality staff.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Project Management to resolve quality issues efficiently and compliantly.
  • Promote a culture of procedural discipline and accountability.
  • Exercise stop-work authority when quality or safety is at risk.
Quality Program
  • Generate project specific quality documentation: Inspection & Test Plans, Project Quality Plans, Work Inspections, Test Procedures
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of fabrication records and final quality turnover packages.
  • Maintenance of Measurement & Test Equipment Calibration program
 

Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or engineering education preferred.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) – required.
  • 7+ years of quality experience in fabrication or industrial manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of AISC, AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5, ASME Sec VIII, ASME Sec IX, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, and quality systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting nuclear, DOE, DOD, or other highly regulated clients.
  • Familiarity with fracture-critical bridge fabrication and DOT projects.
  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience.

Physical & Work Environment
  • Fabrication shop environment with exposure to industrial conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • PPE required per Washington & Oregon OSHA standards.
