Job description

Our client, a personal care manufacturing company, is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join their team! This will be a onsite role working out of their office in Carson. The successful candidate will have 4 years of QA experience within cosmetics or beauty sectors and experience with contract manufacturing.
  • Pay: $45/hr on W2
  • 2nd Shift: 4pm to 11pm, initially 20 - 24 hours per week

Responsibilities:
  • Field-based Quality Control Inspector traveling to local Contract Manufacturers to ensure product safety and excellence.
  • Visit manufacturing sites according to production schedules to oversee runs and conduct final product assessments using AQL sampling standards.
  • Perform physical and functional testing, including torque testing for caps/pumps and leakage testing for seal integrity.
  • Monitor packaging aesthetics, fill levels, and label alignment to guarantee they meet rigorous brand specifications.
  • Oversee adherence to ISO 22716 and Cosmetic GMP, immediately identifying deviations and escalating non-conforming products.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time inspection logs and reports using Google Forms, Excel, and Google Sheets for corporate visibility.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years in Quality Assurance within the cosmetics, personal care, or beauty sectors, including experience with contract manufacturing.
  • Mandatory working knowledge of ISO 22716 and Cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (torque meters, calipers) and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal, written, and tech skills (Google Workspace) combined with the ability to travel locally to manufacturing sites.
