Job description

Job Description One Tech Engineering is searching for a Quality Control Engineer for a position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Quality Control Engineer will be implementing the company's quality program across generation (power plant) projects. The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card.

The candidate should have 3+ years of engineering and QA/QC experience. Quality Control Engineer Responsibilities: Support project execution by ensuring proper installation, startup, and commissioning of equipment to prevent rework and warranty issues. Participate in project reviews, inspections, quality plan development, and resolution of installation or contractor quality issues.

Review project plans and schedules and update QA programs as needed. Analyze quality reports and support the development of project-specific quality plans. Conduct site visits to power plants for inspections and installation walkdowns.

Coordinate with contractors and perform shop visits as required. Track quality issues and resolutions across multiple projects. Requirements of the Quality Control Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Civil or Structural Engineering will also be considered.

3-7+ years of engineering and QA/QC experience. Experience in power generation or industrial environments. Experience with inspection/testing procedures and identifying construction defects.

Microsoft Office experience. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is highly preferred. Lean Six Sigma and Quality Auditor certifications preferred.

Previous drafting experience is a plus. Welding inspection (CWI) is nice to have.
