Job description

Job Title: Quality Control Engineer Location: Denver, Colorado Type: 12 month Contract Compensation: $66.00 - $68.50 Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote

Responsibilities • Develop and review quality management plans, perform field inspections, monitor contractor work, ensure installation compliance to plans/specifications, support commissioning/startup activities, identify defects/non-conformances, perform walkdowns, audits, and field reporting. • Conduct site inspections, installation walkdowns, and contractor oversight at power generation sites. • Attend plant POD meetings when onsite and coordinate shop visits, testing activities, and issue resolution. • Track quality findings and support corrective actions to ensure project compliance and quality standards. • Support quality plan reviews and field activities as projects progress. • Maintain thorough documentation and support continuous improvement in QA/QC processes.

Requirements • Engineering degree required (Mechanical or Electrical preferred; Civil/Structural acceptable) or Construction Management degree. • 3-7 years of industrial, utility, oil & gas, power generation or similar experience. • QA/QC experience including inspections, testing procedures, and defect identification. • Microsoft Office proficiency. • Valid driver license and reliable transportation. • Strong organization, prioritization, communication, and self-directed work habits. • Preferred certifications include CQE, Welding Inspector (CWI), Lean Six Sigma, Quality Auditor, and experience with Bluebeam or Procore. • On-Site work environment with travel to Colorado generating plants; approximately 5-10% out-of-state travel. • Safety precautions including PPE, steel-toe boots, and reimbursed expenses.
