Job description

ePac Flexible Packaging is a rapidly growing, digital printing company with locations across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Indonesia. ePac is the first company ever to be developed from the ground up around the latest wide-web digital printing technology.


SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for performing daily product inspection for converting finished products.  Take a lead role in working with management to ensure compliance and regulations are being followed, including AIB and SQF.

The position requires Shift Flexibility. This is a Work From Office Position.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Inspect raw material, work in progress and finished goods.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate audit working papers and files to support audit findings 
  • Coordinate findings of reviews and audits with the training coordinator and/or Quality Manager.
  • Review internal control procedures and existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, evaluate effectiveness.and recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Manage projects, including departmental and division initiatives.
  • Assist QA Manager and Reporting Supervisor to investigate & resolve customer complaints.
  • Notify any problem or alert regarding converting process to the supervisor or QA manager.
  • Quarantine nonconforming products and advise supervisor or QA manager for disposition.
  • Document and control, the quality findings and data, in electronic records. 
  • Remain current on technological and business process trends in the industry.
  • Support other parts of the operations including pouch assistant, slitting, and lamination, as & when required
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree preferred, plus two years of related experience in Quality Assurance or Document Control. 
  • Technical Capacity & Experience in identifying existing process improvement.
  • Ethical Conduct; Initiative; Decision Making & Organizational Skills; Communication Proficiency;

Il ou elle prépare et tient à jour des documents et des dossiers d’audit exacts afin d’appuyer les résultats des audits, en plus de jouer un rôle proactif et de collaborer avec la direction pour assurer la conformité aux règlements, incluant les normes AIB et SQF.

Le ou la titulaire du poste doit faire preuve de souplesse en ce qui a trait aux quarts de travail. 


FONCTIONS ET RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES 

  • Inspecter le matériel brut, les travaux en cours et les produits finis.
  • Passer en revue les processus d’affaires et les procédures de contrôle interne existants afin de repérer les problèmes d’efficience et d’évaluer l’efficacité. 
  • Coordonner les constatations des examens et des audits avec le coordonnateur ou la coordonnatrice de la formation et(ou) le ou la gestionnaire de l’assurance qualité.
  • Gérer les projets, incluant les initiatives du service et de la division.
  • Actualiser ses compétences en matière de tendances technologiques et commerciales dans son domaine d’activité.
  • Aider le ou la gestionnaire de l’assurance qualité ou le superviseur ou la superviseure de la transformation à passer en revue les plaintes des clients.
  • Informer le superviseur ou la superviseure de la transformation ou le ou la gestionnaire de l’assurance qualité de tout problème ou de toute alerte au sujet du processus de transformation.
  • Mettre à l’écart les produits non conformes et en informer le superviseur ou la superviseure ou le ou la gestionnaire de l’assurance qualité en vue de la prise des mesures nécessaires.
  • Documenter et contrôler les constatations et les données en matière de qualité dans les dossiers électroniques. 
  • Le ou la titulaire du poste pourrait devoir soutenir d’autres secteurs d’activités, notamment l’assistant aux sachets, le découpage et la lamination.
 

EXPÉRIENCE ET ÉTUDES

  • Diplôme d’associé préférable, en plus de deux ans d’expérience en assurance qualité ou en contrôle de documents. 
  • Expérience à déterminer des moyens d'amélioration des processus existants.
