Job description

Description:Position Overview

The Project Coordinator – Busbar (2nd Shift) provides administrative and project coordination support for the Busbar manufacturing team during second shift. This role ensures production documentation is accurate and available, supports communication between Engineering and Manufacturing, coordinates engineering changes, and helps maintain production schedules to ensure efficient fabrication of custom busbar assemblies.


Key Responsibilities

1. Busbar Production Support

  • Coordinate work orders and documentation for Busbar production.
  • Verify production packets, drawings, bills of material (BOMs), and routing information are complete before release to manufacturing.
  • Support second-shift production by resolving documentation issues and escalating engineering concerns as needed.
  • Coordinate communication between first and second shifts to ensure project continuity.

2. Engineering & Documentation

  • Maintain engineering drawings, revisions, and document control.
  • Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure current revisions are available on the production floor.
  • Assist Engineering with maintaining project documentation and records.
  • Support ERP updates related to Busbar projects.

3. Project Coordination

  • Track project status and production milestones.
  • Coordinate priorities with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Quality.
  • Assist with customer documentation and project closeout activities.
  • Help identify scheduling conflicts and communicate delays.

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend process improvements to improve workflow and efficiency.
  • Support quality initiatives and corrective actions.
  • Assist with inventory accuracy and material coordination as needed.
  • Maintain organized project files and production records.

5. Team Support

  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Operations.
  • Communicate effectively across departments and shifts.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
