Job Description

The primary purpose of the position is inspecting materials and products, and following documented ISO processes and procedures for meeting customer specific requirements. To comply with all necessary regulatory, quality system and business requirements as based on ISO 13485 and FDA requirements for medical device and Food manufacturing. Reporting to the site Quality Manager, the person will need to work closely with the Account Teams, Quality Engineers, Materials Department and any other groups as necessary.

This is a 1st shift position: M-F, 6:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., overtime may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect product for defects, damage, and imperfections
  • Be assertive when a quality issue arises
  • Gather data to resolve quality-related issues
  • Work with supervision and the account teams to resolve quality issues
  • Follow all documented processes and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and thorough record keeping
  • Ensure quality requirements meet or exceed customer requirements
  • Assist in continuous improvement
  • Cross-train in any departmental quality areas as needed
  • Comply with all facility safety and work rules; including, but not limited to security requirements, proper procedures for accident/incident reporting, emergency evacuation, etc.
  • Represent RR Donnelley Supply Chain & Packaging Solutions in a professional manner
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, twist/ bend, stand for the whole shift.

Duties which may be performed as need arises include:

  • Special projects as assigned
  • Perform and maintain departmental 5S procedures
  • Follow ISO procedures, participate in ISO audits and training
  • Work in other departments as deemed necessary to meet business needs
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 2 or more years of experience in a quality control/assurance function in a printing environment required
  • Requires good knowledge of general administrative and manufacturing operations procedures and knowledge of job specific processes key to successfully execute and complete the duties of the job.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain quality policy, methods and/or procedures when completing assignments, as well as provide a level of detail required to resolve issues.
  • Requires very good organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines and ability to coordinate phases of work with others.

Theย pay range for this role at the noted location is $17.43 to $21.01 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, and shift differential.
