Overview
UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for a Hospitalist Physician to join our team in the Quad Cities, IA/IL
UnityPoint Clinic
UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area's clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being.
  • Hospitalist schedule is 7on/7off with 12-hour shifts
    • 14, 12-hour shifts per month; 7a-7p
    • One overnight shift every 23 weeks
  • Open ICU with intensivist availability to consult
  • Team of 23 Physicians and 6 NPs

Responsibilities
  • No procedures
  • Dedicated Code and Rapid Response team
  • Dedicated admitters and dedicated hospitalist nursing staff
  • Average patient census of 15-18 patients per Physician
  • Blocked scheduling
  • Excellent work/life balance

Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the states of Iowa and Illinois
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
  • J-1 waiver sponsorship available
