Job description

Job Title: Patient Service Representative

Baystate Health, Western Massachusetts's premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for full-time Patient Service Representatives to join our experienced care teams in Western MA.

Responsibilities: Baystate Health's Patient Service Representatives perform a variety of different tasks throughout the day. This includes greeting patients, check in and check out and requesting copays. Responsibilities also include verifying insurances, answering telephones and faxing medical documents.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours a week
  • Monday through Friday, various schedules from 7:30a-5:30p
  • A few locations have evening shift and/or Sat morning rotation

  • Cardiology – Springfield

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • At least 6 months in a medical office setting, preferred
  • Great interpersonal skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment a MUST
  • Medical terminology, keyboard, Microsoft office products, schedule systems, medical records (electronic and paper), billing, basic math, language, reading and writing, customer service

The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
