Job description

A large A/E/C consulting firm is seeking a Stormwater Support Consultant in Los Angeles, CA to assist with industrial stormwater, vault water, and SWPPP needs.

A large A/E/C consulting firm is seeking a Stormwater Support Consultant in Los Angeles, CA to assist with industrial stormwater, vault water, and SWPPP needs.


Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Wastewater permits, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) & NPDES permitting
  • Attend CEQA / NEPA meetings to provide expertise and consultation related to compliance and environmental resources
  • Public presentations and participate in project-related public meetings
  • Work proactively with other teams and individuals
  • Maintain certifications and qualifications within specialty area and stay current on updates to available certifications and training
  • Travel to assessment sites
  • Determination of Expected Discharge at Divisions with Advanced BMPs
  • Identify and Assess On-site and Off-site Alternative Compliance Options
  • Time Schedule Order Process Initiation
  • Industrial Stormwater Pollutant Source Characterization Study

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with CEQA / NEPA preferred
  • Solid track record in production of environmental compliance reports & performance of complex analysis
  • Work effectively under minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

Education & Certifications

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Hydrology, or closely related field.
  • 5 years minimum of experience
  • Certified (QISP) Qualified Industrial Storm Water Practitioner or (QISD) Qualified Industrial Storm Water Developer (Preferred)
  • Active QSP/QSD a plus
