The EHS/QMS Analyst supports our Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, Quality Management System and assists in developing environmental, quality, and regulatory standards compliance. The EHS/QMS Analyst will assist in researching, developing, and implementing Rand’s Sustainability Program, ensuring compliance with industry standards, engaging with customer-driven EHS/ESG platforms and assisting in the development and maintenance of Quality Management System. This role is responsible also for Training employees, Internal Audit, Global compliance with ISO standards and requirements, continual improvement, and best practices in all aspects of Rand’s operation.

This position is based in our Irvine, CA office.


Essential Functions

  • Research and develop Rand’s Sustainability Program with measurable goals, targets, and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for reducing Rand's environmental impact, focusing on greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and energy consumption.
  • Create and update procedures and policies to ensure Rand’s compliance with EHS regulations.
  • Create and update procedures and policies to ensure Rand’s compliance ISO14001, ISO9001, AS6081 and AS9120 Accreditations and other standard certification that company will pursue in the future.
  • Assist in setting both short-term and long-term EHS objectives and goals for regulatory and customer accreditations.
  • Ensure Rand’s ratings are current and compliant on various customer-driven EHS/ESG platforms, including RBA Supplier Platform, EcoVadis Sustainability Platform, CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), Assent and other customer driven platforms.
  • Supplier Assurance, Assent, Integrity Next ESRS, DHL (if applicable)
  • Assist in maintaining and updating Rand’s participation in customer sustainability and EHS programs such as: Motorola, Flextronics, Sanmina, Celestica. Borg Warner. Vecima Networks, Aptiv and other necessary customer request for sustainability program.
  • Complete required customer surveys and supply necessary data to ensure Rand’s compliance with sustainability, environmental standards and company’s certification standards.
  • Provide detailed reports to the EHS/QMS Manager on progress toward objectives, targets, and platform submissions.
  • Determine Rand’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and energy consumption to evaluate the company’s carbon footprint.
  • Identify Rand’s EHS compliance requirements for ISO14001, ISO9001, and AS9120 Accreditations.
  • Develop and set Rand’s short-term and long-term environmental goals for both regulatory and customer-driven accreditation programs.
  • Maintain Rand’s profile and current status in customer-mandated EHS/ESG platforms, ensuring data accuracy and timely submissions.
  • Maintain and develop policies and procedures of the Company to ensure that products and processes meet all applicable standards and specifications
  • Maintain quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Audit company operations teams to ensure adherence to Quality Management System
  • Return Material Authorization investigation and process
  • Stay up to date on all internal and external requirements and new issues that will impact Rand’s certifications and compliance
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the Environmental, Sustainability and QMS remains current and effective
  • Contribution to Global Controlled documents, procedures, work instructions, and visual aides
  • Audit Rand suppliers based on ISO certification standard and Rands quality processes
  • Other duties as assigned.

Core Competencies

  • Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001 or AS9120, EHS regulations, sustainability initiatives, and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO14001) is a plus.
  • Ability to take ownership of internal, external, and customer audits.
  • Willing to work overtime occasionally as needed


Requirements:
  • With a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Sustainability, Quality or a related field
  • Experience in electronic component inspection and analysis is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in auditing processes
  • ISO auditing certificate is a plus
