Job Summary โ€“ QA Lead โ€“ Software QA
Location:
Phoenix, Arizona ( Local Only )ย 
- Lead and define QA automation strategy, architecture, and standards for the AZASRS Technical Services Division.
- Drive adoption of modern UI/API automation frameworks and oversee transition from existing Java-based solutions.
- Integrate quality early in the SDLC by implementing PR-level tests, API checks, and CI/CD quality gates.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools for test generation, self-healing locators, and test-impact analysis to enhance testing efficiency.
- Collaborate with DevOps to optimize CI/CD pipelines, test data management, and environment provisioning processes.
- Work with architects to resolve complex issues (authentication, data, performance, flaky tests) and reduce technical debt.
- Expand and strengthen UI, API, and integration test coverage to ensure environment stability.
- Mentor, coach, and review code of QA engineers; enforce automation and QA best practices.
- Develop quality dashboards and metrics (test coverage, flakiness, MTTR, etc.) for continuous improvement.
- Lead root cause analysis for defects and drive implementation of preventive solutions.
- Ensure compliance with technical requirements and support adoption of preferred tools (Grafana, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud platforms, AI/LLM testing tools, Jira, Confluence).
- Oversee QA activities in a hybrid work environment in Phoenix, AZ, with occasional onsite meetings and adherence to agency policies.
