Job description

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance (QA) Lab Technician at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.

Responsibilities:

  • Test samples to ensure product quality, safety, and specificationcompliance

  • Audit production and packaging for accuracy inshapes,specifications,storage, packaging,labelingand coding

  • Identifyand manage non-conforming productsand food safetyhazards, ensuring issues are investigated and recommending solutions

  • Maintain records,documentation, andretention samples

  • Proactivelyidentifyand execute on continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Bachelor'sdegree in food relatedfield(Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.), is preferred

  • Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed

  • Experience with Microsoft Officeapplications(Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Experience in quality assurance testingis preferred

    Physical Requirements:

    Qualified candidates must be able toperformthe following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:

    • Crouch, kneel, stoop, reach above shoulders, bend,balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull,grasp,feel, perform fine manipulation, lift/carry (up to 50 pounds), sit,standand walkfor extended periods

    • Work in dusty, highheat/humidityenvironment
