Job description

Quality Technician

As a QA Lab Technician, the successful candidate will be responsible for all in-process/final testing associated with the production, manufacturing and release of products.  The purpose of the testing is to make sure products are made safely, and both customer expectations and specifications have been met.  The lab tech executes the procedures and methods associated with the quality systems.

The QA Lab Technician will be responsible for the support of production in:

  • Verification of Raw Materials:
  • Testing of in-process/final samples according to test methods:
  • Communication results to production and process engineers.
  • Responsible for accuracy of data and precision of test equipment.
  • The use of laboratory computer systems (SAP) and other supporting software.
  • Calibration of instruments
  • Provide non-routine testing associated with corrective actions or process improvements.
  • Participate in facility's Internal Audit program
  • Following all safety requirements
  • Practice good housekeeping
  • General maintenance of the lab 
  • Set up SAP QC testing plans for new products and raw materials
  • Maintain Inventory of all lab supplies

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years in a chemical manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Willingness and ability to work off-shift and/or 12 hour shifts
  • Attention to details

  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer skills / ability to learn new programs
  • Must have effective interpersonal skills
