Role Summary

Supports quality assurance, documentation development, business-rule reviews, and standardization of processes for national crime-data collections. Ensures accuracy, consistency, and compliance across data products, procedures, and technical documentation.

Key Duties

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed desktop procedures.
  • Conduct QA reviews of data-collection products, reports, methodologies, and business-rule changes.
  • Validate documentation against technical specifications, XML guides, and data-collection standards.
  • Support the creation of e-learning modules for various data-collection activities.
  • Standardize documentation workflows and manage content within SharePoint.
  • Review communications and ensure clarity and accuracy before release.
  • Support certification/recertification activities for incident-based reporting.
  • Conduct independent assessments of data quality, business rules, and documentation practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Top Secret
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Business, Criminal Justice, or related field.
  • Strong writing skills and experience creating procedural documentation.
  • Familiarity with XML, flat-file data structures, and documentation standards.
