Southern Air in Baton Rouge is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to help uphold our high standards and ensure every job meets regulatory and company benchmarks. The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in inspecting completed service and installation jobs across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing divisions. This position ensures work meets safety codes, internal quality standards, and customer expectations. You'll collaborate with field technicians, service managers, and customers to identify issues, provide feedback, and support continuous improvement.

What you will do:
  • Conduct post-installation and post-service inspections for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing jobs
  • Verify compliance with local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards
  • Document findings and provide detailed reports to service managers and technicians
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend training or process improvements
  • Communicate professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns
  • Assist in developing and updating QA checklists and protocols
  • Support warranty validation and ensure proper documentation is completed
  • Collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to schedule inspections efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, corrective actions, and technician performance trends

Who you are:
  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing services (multi-trade experience preferred)
  • HVAC degree or equivalent field experience with certification from a technical/trade school
  • Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment
  • EPA Type II (Preferred)
