Job description

Work in a dynamic environment in which you'll use your passion, quality manufacturing technical experience, and strong problem solving skills to continuously improve Virtual Quality Control inspection processes within Quality Assurance. The successful candidate will interact with DFM Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Case Management, and our Supply Chain (Partner) while supporting Xometry Partners (Contract Manufacturers) Network and must have the ability to effectively communicate in a fast paced, multidisciplinary team environment at all levels.ย 

A typical day will consist of, performing inspections that is conducting Virtual Quality Control inspections by reviewing all the required documents and photos uploaded into the Xometry Partner Portal and ERP.ย  This process of inspections may range from a high mix to low volume jobs or full rate production. The inspector follows clearly written procedures as Partners are their external Customers.ย  This person will work closely with Case Management, Partner Support, and MRB effectively managing rework through internal and external resources to ensure quick turnaround time.ย ย 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Ability to clearly communicate - read, write, and speak English
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience dimensionally inspecting manufactured products
  • Minimum of 2 years working with General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Able to read/interpret mechanical drawings, including assembly drawings
  • Working knowledge and/or education, skills and experience associated with manufacturing processes
  • Capable of interpreting and developing Dimensional Inspection Reports
  • A self-starter, who works diligently to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to to work in a dynamic environment

Qualifications/Skills:ย 

  • Minimum ability to working part of day in Eastern Time Zone (UTC - 4)
  • Reliable internetย 
  • Must have a strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Salesforce, High QA, SolidWorks, ASANA, and Google Suiteย 
  • Previous remote work experience a plus
