What you will have an opportunity to do:
Mission of the Role:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of the hotel's physical facilities.
Essential Job Functions:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work and HVAC system maintenance.
• Address guest room issues and respond to maintenance requests.
• Makes structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patches or replaces paster, plasterboard, paint walls, ceilings and trim. Cut and lay flooring.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems.
• Maintain a log of all work performed including parts needed and/or parts used on all work requests. Follow work order procedures.
• Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management.
What are we looking for?
  • Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort preferred
  • Knowledge of "household" repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.) a must
  • Strong attention to detail and an engaging and welcoming personality a plus
  • Availability to work various shifts to include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
