Familiarity with adverse event reporting systems, safety databases (such as Argus or ARISg), and relevant certifications like GVP (Good Pharmacovigilance Practice) is typically required. What are some common challenges faced by PVL (Postdoctoral Visiting Lecturer) positions, and how can candidates prepare for them?

PVL roles often require balancing teaching responsibilities with ongoing research, which can be challenging for those new to full-time academic positions. Building strong time management skills and seeking mentorship from experienced faculty can help new PVLs navigate these demands effectively. Additionally, engaging with the academic community and participating in departmental activities can enhance both teaching and research experiences.
