Looking to Volunteer and Make a Difference in Someone's Life?
English Rose is seeking volunteers who are interested in brightening the days of our residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care homes through our unique Volunteer Program located in Edina & Minnetonka.
Time commitment: We have flexible opportunities. Visit one time or on an ongoing basis!
Volunteer Training: We offer all volunteers a FREE in-person or virtual dementia training in The English Rose Dementia Approach.
As an English Rose Volunteer, you can:
  • Visit- come spend time with our interesting & eclectic residents. Share stories and get some great advice.
  • Present - share your interests, passions, and talents with our residents. They enjoy learning new things and listening to performances.
  • Perform - we love aspiring musicians, singers, and dancers!
  • Engage - Play games, work on a puzzle, go on walks, garden, bake, etc.
Three Ways to Volunteer:
  1. Join one of our Ongoing Activity Groups:
    • Walking Group
    • Sweeties Baking Club
    • Arts & Crafts Class
  2. Become an English Rose "Buddy" - be matched with one of our residents and build an ongoing, meaningful friendship. We welcome individuals & families! This is also great opportunity for people interested in careers in the health care field.
  3. Work with our Volunteer Coordinator to develop a one-time or ongoing opportunity - we would love to hear your ideas an work with your talents, passions and interests!

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 14 years old (if younger can be accompanied by an adult)
  • Able to pass the MDH background check and tuberculosis screening
  • Strong verbal skills (English)
