Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Augusta, Georgia.
This role supports an open heart and vascular surgical program, delivering high-acuity intraoperative care for complex cardiovascular and endovascular procedures.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for CVOR nurses with strong open heart and vascular experience who are confident working in high-acuity surgical environments and supporting advanced cardiac procedures.
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 14-week contract
• Day shift 5x8s (06:00–14:30)
• 1:1 patient ratio :contentReference[oaicite:0]index=0
• Call required (overnight, weekday, and weekend rotation)
• Floating rarely required to main OR
• 1 position available
COMPENSATION
Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable.
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in open heart surgical procedures including CABG and valve replacements
• Support vascular and endovascular procedures including EVAR and TEVAR
• Manage intraoperative equipment and sterile field
• Assist with advanced cardiac devices (IABP, VADs)
• Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, and surgical teams
• Maintain sterile technique and patient safety standards
• Document intraoperative care in Epic and surgical systems
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Open heart and vascular surgical program
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Epic and Pyxis systems
• OR scrubs provided by facility

• Minimum 2 years CVOR RN experience REQUIRED
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS and ACLS REQUIRED
• Strong open heart and vascular experience REQUIRED

• Experience with CABG, valve procedures, and cardiac devices preferred
• GA or Compact RN license REQUIRED (must be in hand)
