Job description

Purchasing Associate

We’re looking for a highly organized Purchasing Associate to support daily procurement operations and keep our supply chain running smoothly. In this role, you’ll process purchase orders, track shipments, monitor inventory levels, and communicate directly with vendors to resolve issues and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Create and submit purchase orders with accurate pricing and terms
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and work with freight forwarders on international orders
  • Track all open POs and provide delivery updates to internal teams
  • Monitor inventory levels and update product specs, pricing, and supplier data in our system
  • Communicate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and delivery schedules
  • Resolve issues like damaged goods, incorrect quantities, or pricing discrepancies
  • Maintain freight bills and shipping documents linked to the correct POs
  • Serve as point of contact for vendor updates and order status inquiries

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of purchasing, logistics, or administrative experience
  • High School Diploma or Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s a plus
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and familiar with ERP or inventory systems
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow established processes
