Job description

Purchasing Supervisor with previous manufacturing, industrial, broad based purchasing in raw materials and finished goods experience needed on-site in Kenosha, WI.

Job Duties

  • Lead all site purchasing activities
  • Coordinate all sourcing activity for suppliers and new or existing products and/or services
  • Lead materials management for assigned components, commodities/materials, and/or parts
  • Implement necessary purchasing activities
  • Manage delivery and fulfillment of assigned areas
  • Implement supply chain and vendor management measures to ensure cost, delivery, quality, and service expectations are met
  • Coordinate inventory control for all assigned components, materials and/or parts
  • Provide manufacturing and distribution support
  • Leads purchasing administration activities for assigned area(s)
  • Directly supervises team of Buyers

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a relevant field required. Emphasis on materials control preferred.
  • 5-7+ years progressively responsible experience in a purchasing, inventory control, materials management or planning, supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing, assembly, or other industrial environment
  • 3-5 years of supervisor experience. Direct leadership experience of inventory control, materials, or purchasing team preferred.
  • 5-7+ years intermediate level ERP (JDE) experience preferred.
  • Advanced/intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 programs and CRM strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of databases with ability to read and write basic SQL statements preferred.
  • CPP, CPPM or related certification a plus.
