We are recruiting a Purchasing Analyst for a well-established manufacturing company in the Farmers Branch/Addison area.

This position will play an important role in keeping materials flowing through the operation by managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory availability, communicating with suppliers, tracking deliveries, and coordinating closely with production, sales, shipping, and warehouse teams.


We're looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and data, and proactive when a supplier or purchase order isn't going according to plan.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders
  • Perform order entry and make purchase-order changes as needed
  • Verify specifications and information on purchase requests
  • Review inventory records to determine whether materials are currently available
  • Maintain accurate records of purchased materials and products
  • Calculate and track costs of purchased items
  • Communicate directly with suppliers and vendors
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding late deliveries, quality concerns, and order status
  • Coordinate with production, sales, shipping, and warehouse teams regarding material and purchase-order status
  • Verify supplier invoices against bids and purchase orders
  • Assist with invoice approval for payment
  • Maintain purchasing and supplier documentation
  • Compile purchasing statistics and prepare reports for management
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical purchasing records
  • Help identify and resolve purchasing and material-related problems
  • Perform additional purchasing and administrative responsibilities as needed

  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, supply chain, materials, or a closely related role
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience creating and managing purchase orders
  • Experience communicating and following up with vendors/suppliers
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills
  • Comfortable working with purchasing, inventory, cost, and supplier information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
