Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE:

  • Assist in the procurement of food and non-food products by ordering high-quality supplies at the best value, ensuring all culinary outlets, special events, and food development needs are supported with accurate and timely purchasing.
  • Maintain inventory levels and product availability by receiving, stocking, organizing, and rotating goods according to FIFO standards while ensuring storerooms, walk-ins, and storage areas remain clean, efficient, and well maintained.
  • Support food safety and sanitation excellence by partnering with stewarding and culinary teams to uphold cleanliness standards, monitor cleaning schedules, conduct inspections, and assist with dishwashing, sanitizing, and kitchen cleaning activities as needed.
  • Oversee daily fresh juice production and beverage distribution processes while identifying opportunities to improve food product utilization, operational efficiency, and inventory management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Canyon Ranch food safety, workplace safety, and sanitation standards through proper handling, storage, and maintenance of food products, supplies, equipment, and work areas.
  • Contribute to exceptional guest experiences by supporting seamless food and beverage operations, maintaining product quality and availability, and demonstrating a positive, detail-oriented, and service-focused approach in all interactions.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bring 3–5 years of food purchasing, inventory control, warehouse, culinary, or food and beverage operations experience, with demonstrated knowledge of purchasing processes, product management, and inventory best practices.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or specialized training in purchasing, hospitality, culinary operations, or a related field is preferred. Ability to obtain ServSafe Manager Certification within 30 days and CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 90 days of employment.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to maintain accurate inventory levels, prioritize competing responsibilities, and support multiple operational areas in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess working knowledge of food and beverage purchasing, receiving, storage procedures, FIFO inventory rotation, food safety standards, sanitation practices, and quality control requirements.
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to learn proprietary systems, identify process improvements, and make sound decisions within established procedures.
  • Thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment by maintaining flexibility, a positive and service-oriented attitude, and a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, teamwork, and the Canyon Ranch mission and values.
